Winter fun in the Mittelgebirge region
Winter in Kreith has many different names and faces. Skiing is just one of them. The family-friendly Muttereralm ski area offers perfect conditions for beginners and “best agers” and the new, fast Götzner downhill run is ideal for those who enjoy something more challenging. The Stubaital with its glacier or Schlick 2000, the Olympic downhill runs of Patscherkofel and Axamer Lizum or Rangger Köpfl are all quickly and easily accessible. Your hosts Thomas and Christine are experienced ski instructors and would be happy to give you some tips.
Explore the snow-covered, romantic landscape with your touring- or cross-country skis, by toboggan or hiking with or without snowshoes.
Innsbruck, the romantic provincial capital, attracts visitors in winter with its Christmas market, magnificent panoramic views of the Bergisel or the Nordkette mountains and its many sights in the Gothic Old Town.
